Now. Here. This.
This past weekend Frey and I went to New York to see Now. Here. This. (from the creators of [title of show]) It was absolutely fantastic and if anyone happens to be in New York in the next week, I highly recommend it (it's playing Off-Broadway at the Vineyard theater). If not, then fingers crossed they get a Broadway run, or at least a cast album.
Anyway, fun story involved. After the show, we met Heidi Blickenstaff, Hunter Bell, and Susan Blackwell and got them to sign our poster. Unfortunately, we missed Jeff Bowen. On our last day, we decided to take Frey's sister Allison and her friend Kaileigh to see the show again for the Saturday matinee. As we did not realize we were going, we left the poster at Allison's apartment. Luckily, we'd just been talking about the duct tape merchandising from the [title of show] show. So, we stopped at the Gristedes by the Stonewall Inn (our mid-day tourist attraction) and bought a Sharpie and some Duct tape before taking a cab to the show. After the show (just as good the second time, if not better) we got him to sign the duct tape and got to talk more with all of the cast.
Overall, a great experience.

This quote from The God Whispers of Han Qing-jao
"My father once told me
that there are no gods,
only the cruel manipulations
of evil people
who pretended that their power was good
and their exploitation was love.
But if there are no gods,
why are we so hungry to believe in them?
Just because evil liars
stand between us and the gods
and block our view of them
does not mean that the bright halo
that surrounds each liar
is not the outer edges of a god, waiting
for us to find our way around the lie."
that there are no gods,
only the cruel manipulations
of evil people
who pretended that their power was good
and their exploitation was love.
But if there are no gods,
why are we so hungry to believe in them?
Just because evil liars
stand between us and the gods
and block our view of them
does not mean that the bright halo
that surrounds each liar
is not the outer edges of a god, waiting
for us to find our way around the lie."
